06/12/06 - Wow, weird. Its been exactly a month since this site has been updated. Maybe we should keep that as a frequent happening.
We just did a whole mess of ADR for The Attackmen this past weekend with Sound Engineer Extraordinaire, Erin Rettig (Anchorman, Munich, X Men 3). We're hoping for a very late summer, early fall release of our film and can't wait for all of you to see it!!!
Oh, and you can pre-order your copy of The Clique (now called Death Clique) online at Blockbuster.com, Amazon.com, Bestbuy.com, etc...Street Date is 07/11/06.
*"The Attackmen," a 35mm short, based on a story by Nick, is deep in post-production right, and is looking for an early summer release to the public.
**"The Attackmen" marks Topher Straus' most ambitious project yet. For this dramatic short about a Jewish lacrosse player encountering prejudice in a Catholic school, Straus was determined to give his controversial subject the best talent in front of and behind the camera.
Such acclaimed actors as Marshal Bell ("Capote), Michael Shamus Wiles ("Fight Club"), Dominic Keating ("Enterprise") and Jeffrey Combs ("The Frighteners") were drawn to the script by Shari Goodhartz ("Star Trek- The Next Generation").
Topher next turned to award-winning cinematographer Robert F. Smith ("El Cortez"), who shot "The Attackmen" on 35 millimeter film over five intensive days.
This striking footage quickly brought editor Adam Weiss ("Bull Durham") and composer Aaron Zigman ("The Notebook") to the project, which is planned for initial release at film festivals in 2006.
***Nick's Enterprise Rental Car Spot is still airing on Network TV after a year.
****Nick's Acting Reel is up and ready for viewing in the audio/video section.
